Hi, I'm Margalida Vinyes ✨

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawing, completely absorbed in the creative process. It was my refuge, a place where I could shut out the world and feel happy and at peace.

For over thirty years, my life has revolved around editorial and advertising illustration, comics, and graphic design. It's a profession that allows me to communicate ideas through art and connect with the people who discover my creations.

This vocation has led me down many different paths and brought me great joy. You might recognize my work in the official image for the special edition of Estrella Galicia for the Balearic Islands (2023), in the graphic novel Catalina, la cuinera de l'Òpera , or in the story La Veritable Història de la Lletera . You may even have seen the illustration Dona-li la volta , which went viral internationally on March 8, 2018.

I have had the honor of seeing my work recognized in the catalogue Women Made - Women Designers in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands , of having two of my illustrations represent our island at the FITUR tourism fair, and of being invited to international comic festivals in Brussels and Stockholm. For many years I also combined my artistic passion with my work as a communications specialist at the Balearic Government's Institute for Business Innovation.

Why this online store?

Because, after so many years creating for books, magazines, public institutions, and brands, I felt the need to bring my art directly to you. It excites me to think that my prints can fill the walls of your home with life, color, and personality.

Furthermore, I am passionate about recapturing the most human essence of art through personalized illustrated portraits . I belong to a generation that first learned to draw with pencil on paper and later incorporated digital color, resulting in a mixed technique that is now part of my identity as an illustrator.

With these portraits, I'm not simply aiming to create a beautiful picture. My goal is to go further: to reflect your essence, that which isn't immediately apparent. I want to create an illustration that evokes emotion, that freezes in time a personality, experiences, values, or even those loved ones who are part of your story.
